CDS exam which is also known as Combined defence services exam is conducted by UPSC every year two times. Candidates who wish to join Indian army, navy or air force after their graduation can write CDS exam paper to attend the ssb interview. CDS exam paper has questions from English, Maths and General Knowledge. Candidates who are applying for IMA, AFA and NA have to attempt all the three but for candidates who are applying for OTA only, have to attempt English and General Knowledge paper only. - IMA and OTA: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
- Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engg
- Air Force Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engg
Candidates appearing at the degree or equivalent examination also eligible to compete. Such candidates will be required to submit the proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination by a date to be specified in the Commission’s Notice for the Examination.
