Selection Procedure of Civilian Candidates

Candidates whose application forms are found correct will be called for screening (written exam followed by interview only if passed in written exam) by a Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) by the respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters.
Successful candidates will further undergo tests at a Service Selection Board (SSB) and Medical Board for final selection.

EMBODIMENT FOR TRAINING:

One month basic training in the first year of commission.
Two months annual training camp every year including the first year.
Three months Post Commissioning training within first two years at IMA, Dehradun.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE :

(a) Commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant.

(b) Pay and Allowances and privileges will be same as Regular Army Officers when embodied for training and military service.

(c) Promotions upto Lt Col by time scale subject to fulfilling laid down criteria. Promotion to Colonel and Brigadier by selection.

(d) Officers commissioned in Infantry TA may be called out for military service for longer duration depending on the requirement

Selected Candidates SSB Interview Documents

All educational qualification certificates alongwith originals (Matric onwards)
Latest physical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS Doctor
Copy of Identity proof with photographs (Voter ID/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License etc.)
Domicile /Residential Proof Certificate
Certificate for proof of age
Service certificate by candidates employed in Central Govt./Union Territory/State Govt./ Semi Govt./Private Sector Authenticated by Head Office
Self-employed candidates or having own Business are required to submit an Affidavit on Non-Judicial stamp paper of minimum value duly attested stating nature of self-employment and income earned annually along with photocopy of PAN Card.
In case of variation in name in any document of the candidate an affidavit & newspaper cutting be enclosed.

Note: In case, your original documents are deposited with some institution for pursuing higher studies, you are required to bring a bonafide cum custodian certificate duly signed by the Principal/head of institution giving list of those documents and two photocopies of each document duly attested by the same authority.

Note: Common call up instructions for SSB interviews are available on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in for your information and compliance. Please ensure your eligibility criteria as per notification for this course. In case, you fail to produce any requisite documents, you are liable to be returned without being interviewed and NO reimbursement of TA will be made.

Entitlement to Travelling Allowance for SSB Interview Candidates

TA is admissible for the shortest route only.
AC 3 Tier fare (including reservation-cum-sleeper charges) by main route from home station to Bangalore and back will be paid as per government rates on production of tickets.
No re-imbursement of rail/bus fares/ reservation-cum-sleeper charges will be permitted in the absence of original travel documents.
You are entitled to TA when you attend the interview for a commission for the first time. Such allowance is not admissible for second or subsequent attempts for the same type of commission.
