The military operations specifically targeted facilities associated with missile launching and storage, as well as military satellites and radar infrastructure. In conjunction with the Israeli strikes, Iranian media reported ongoing military actions in various regions of northwest Iran. The conflict between the two nations has intensified, with at least three fatalities resulting from an Israeli strike that hit an ambulance in central Iran.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed grave concerns over the escalating violence in the region, warning that it could lead to “another cycle of destruction” and retaliation. He characterized the U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities as a “perilous turn,” raising alarms over the potential for further destabilization in an already volatile area.
