In a significant shift in India’s administrative landscape, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has taken charge of security at Kartavya Bhawan-1, following the relocation of the Ministry of Finance from North Block. The official inauguration of this new building took place on October 2, 2025, with Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman leading the ceremony.
With the Ministry of Finance now housed in Kartavya Bhawan, the facility has emerged as a central hub for the country’s financial governance. It accommodates essential departments and decision-making entities that play a vital role in shaping India’s economic policies.
To ensure robust security measures for this crucial installation, the CISF has been formally inducted at CCS-01/Kartavya Bhawan-1. This induction ceremony was graced by Shri Vishnu Swaroop, DIG/CISF, CGBS, along with several senior officials and media representatives.
