Smt. Sonia Narang, IPS, Inspector General/APS, recently undertook a formal visit to the CISF Unit ASG Cochin to assess the unit’s security preparedness and operational efficiency. The inspection covered various critical areas of Cochin International Airport, including the airport perimeter, Security Hold Area (SHA), access control points, and other essential operational zones.
During her visit, Smt. Narang toured the CIAL Cyber Dome, where she received an overview of the advanced technological measures implemented to bolster airport security and cyber surveillance capabilities. This visit underscored the importance of integrating technology in safeguarding airport operations against evolving threats.
Engaging directly with senior officers from Cochin Airport and the CISF personnel stationed at the airport, Smt. Narang recognized the collaborative efforts between the CISF and airport authorities. She emphasized the significance of a seamless security management system in one of the busiest airports in southern India.
The Inspector General expressed her appreciation for the professionalism, alertness, and dedication displayed by the CISF personnel in their mission to protect passengers, aviation assets, and national interests.
