NDA Mourns the Untimely Death of Cadet Antriksh Kumar Singh

The National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla is mourning the loss of Cadet Antriksh Kumar Singh, a first-term trainee, who tragically passed away in the early hours of 10 October 2025. Cadet Singh, who had only recently embarked on his military training journey, was discovered unresponsive in his cabin by fellow cadets after he did not show up for the day’s scheduled activities.

Immediate medical assistance was sought, and he was quickly transported to the Military Hospital in Khadakwasla. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at 06:30 hours.

Cadet Antriksh Kumar Singh hailed from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and was a proud son of an ex-serviceman. Having joined the NDA in July 2025, he was part of Charlie Squadron. His untimely death has left many in the NDA community devastated.

The academy has confirmed that the next of kin have been notified, and local authorities have been informed about the incident. In light of this tragedy, NDA officials have initiated a Court of Inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding Cadet Singh’s death.

NDA officials expressed their condolences to the grieving family, emphasizing their support in this difficult time. The institution released a statement reflecting on the deep sense of loss felt within the academy community, which is built on principles of courage, discipline, and camaraderie. The passing of such a young life, particularly during training, casts a shadow over the academy’s core values.

Shishir Dixit, Founder of Centurion Defence Academy, praised Cadet Singh’s commitment and motivation to serve the nation, calling him a brilliant student of disciplined character. Cadet Singh had successfully cleared the NDA 154 course for the Indian Air Force from 1 AFSB, showcasing his dedication, intelligence, and determination.

The NDA, located near Pune, Maharashtra, serves as one of India’s most prestigious joint services academies, where future officers of the Army, Navy, and Air Force train together. This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the physical and emotional demands of military training and the resilience required from those who aspire to serve their country.
