In an inspiring initiative aimed at fostering discipline, leadership, and patriotism among the nation’s youth, the Chetak Corps, in collaboration with the Ranbankura Division and Panchvinshti Brigade, conducted special training and motivation camps for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at military stations in Bikaner and Bathinda.
Over 250 NCC cadets from various schools and colleges participated in these camps, which provided them with a unique opportunity to experience the life, ethos, and operational readiness of the Indian Army. The camps were meticulously crafted to offer practical exposure to military life, with the goal of inspiring the cadets to consider a future career in the armed forces.
A major attraction of the event was a weapons display, where cadets were introduced to modern infantry weapons and equipment utilized by the Indian Army. Trained personnel explained the functioning and tactical significance of each weapon system, fostering a sense of pride and curiosity among the young trainees.
The cadets also enjoyed a guided tour of an infantry unit, allowing for direct interaction with officers and soldiers. During this visit, they learned about the unit’s history, operational roles, and the rigorous training routines that prepare the nation’s defenders. This experience provided the cadets with insightful knowledge about the teamwork, discipline, and determination that define military life.
Beyond technical and tactical exposure, the camps featured a series of motivational talks and interactive sessions led by senior officers. These sessions emphasized the importance of values such as service, integrity, and excellence. Additionally, cultural programs and sports activities helped to cultivate a spirit of teamwork and mutual respect among the participants.
Such initiatives underscore the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders under the ethos of “Nation First, Always and Every Time.” The events successfully bridged the gap between military and youth, instilling pride in the uniform and a sense of duty to serve the nation.
