Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni, Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DGEME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, conducted an official visit to the Kharga Corps to assess various ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing operational preparedness. His visit focused on technology integration and the sustenance of key equipment.

During his time at the Kharga Corps, Lt Gen Sahni was provided with a comprehensive briefing on the efforts being made by the Corps to bolster combat readiness through advanced maintenance practices and the implementation of indigenous technological solutions. A highlight of the visit was the Kharga Corps Drone Hub, where troops showcased a range of innovations in drone design, development, and fabrication. This presentation underscored the Corps’ growing capability to integrate unmanned systems into operational scenarios effectively.

Lt Gen Sahni expressed his appreciation for the technical ingenuity and dedication demonstrated by EME personnel. He acknowledged their significant contributions to enhancing self-reliance and operational efficiency within the Corps.
