The Tank Transporter Management Course at ASC Centre & College (ASCC&C), Bengaluru, concluded on 28 October 2025, highlighting a significant advancement in the operational readiness of the Indian Army’s logistics and mechanised transport abilities.

This specialized program was crafted to equip ASC Officers with essential managerial and technical skills necessary for the proficient command and control of Tank Transporter units. These units play a vital role in the Indian Army’s operational effectiveness, particularly during wartime, often referred to as the “spinal cord” of the army’s tactical capabilities.

The intensive curriculum focused on critical areas such as planning, execution, and maintenance related to tank transportation. This comprehensive training aimed to ensure that officers can provide uninterrupted mobility support to armoured formations across diverse terrains and various combat situations.

In the Valedictory Address, Lt Gen JK Gera, Commandant of ASCC&C, praised the officers for their commitment and encouraged them to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness. He underscored the essential function of Tank Transporter units in facilitating the mobility and sustenance of mechanised forces, stating that logistical efficiency significantly impacts the outcome of military operations.

Additionally, Major Nirma Choudhary was recognized as the Best Student of the course for her exceptional performance and leadership throughout the training.

The successful completion of this course reaffirms ASC Centre & College’s dedication to nurturing highly competent officers who are prepared to meet the evolving operational demands of the Indian Army’s mechanised formations.
