Shri Raj Kumar Arora has officially taken on the responsibilities of Financial Advisor (Defence Services), a role in which he is expected to leverage his extensive background in financial management and defence policy formulation. As an officer of the 1990 batch of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), he brings a wealth of experience to this critical position.
Throughout his career, Shri Arora has held various essential roles within the government, notably serving as the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and as an Additional Secretary at the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). These positions have provided him with a unique insight into the intricate operations of defense finance and administration.
His expertise spans a range of vital areas, including acquisition planning, financial policy development, accounting practices, auditing procedures, budgeting, and personnel management. This diverse skill set has allowed him to contribute significantly to the enhancement of India’s defence financial framework, ensuring that it is robust and capable of meeting current and future challenges.
