Officer and Agniveers

In a momentous ceremony today, the Passing Out Parade (POP) for 935 Agniveers was held at the Armoured Corps Centre & School (ACC&S) and the Mechanised Infantry Regimental Centre (MIRC) in Ahilyanagar. The event marked the culmination of 31 weeks of intensive military training, during which the recruits developed their skills and military acumen.

At ACC&S, 521 Agniveers participated in the parade, while MIRC saw 414 Agniveers formally attested. Both parades were characterized by impeccable drill sequences, a strong display of military bearing, and adherence to the high standards of excellence expected from these esteemed training institutions.

The Reviewing Officers at each parade expressed their admiration for the young soldiers’ commitment. They urged the new Agniveers to maintain professionalism, discipline, and honor as they step into their roles. The officers also highlighted the significance of being mission-ready in an increasingly dynamic operational landscape, encouraging these soldiers to be adaptable and vigilant in their duties.

In a touching tribute, Gaurav Padaks were awarded to the parents of the newly attested Agniveers, recognizing the vital support and sacrifices their families made throughout the training process. This gesture underscored the communal spirit and family bonds that underpin military life.

The Southern Command extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Agniveers and their families, praising the recruits for their discipline, motivation, and unwavering spirit of service. They emphasized how these qualities exemplify India’s increasing strength and underline the Indian Army’s commitment to nurturing a capable, motivated, and technologically proficient new generation of soldiers, ready to face the challenges of modern warfare.
