The recently concluded Leadership & Management Course at the Junior Leaders Academy (JLA) in Bareilly marked a significant milestone in the professional development of Junior Leaders from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Assam Rifles, as well as 18 Junior Leaders from friendly foreign countries. The course, which took place over six weeks, wrapped up on December 10, 2025, showcasing a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises designed to enhance leaders’ capabilities in modern operational contexts.
Focused on building essential skills in leadership, management, and decision-making, the program aimed to equip participants with the tools necessary for effective leadership in challenging environments. The comprehensive curriculum included various practical leadership exercises that fostered confidence, discipline, and an acute awareness of operational demands.
During the closing address, the Commandant of JLA underscored the pivotal role of Junior Leaders in maintaining the ethos of the Indian Army. He articulated the critical responsibility they hold in establishing high standards of discipline and training, both of which are vital for developing a capable and future-ready armed force.
In recognition of exceptional performance throughout the course, CHM Sukhdev Singh from 7 SIKH was awarded the title of Overall Best Student. This accolade is a testament to his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to achieving excellence.
The successful completion of this course further cements the Junior Leaders Academy’s position as a leading institution dedicated to cultivating effective grassroots leadership among the Indian Armed Forces and allied nations, highlighting its ongoing contribution to military education and training.
