A two-week NCC Girls Camp for cadets of the 20 Mizo NCC Battalion was successfully held at the Counter Insurgency & Jungle Warfare School (CIJWS) in Vairengte from December 2 to December 14, 2025. This camp provided a structured military routine designed to promote discipline, leadership, and physical fitness among the participants.
Throughout the duration of the camp, the NCC cadets engaged in various activities that included firing practice, basic fieldcraft, group tasks, and rigorous physical training. Additionally, they participated in sports competitions and field exercises that offered them firsthand exposure to military life.
A key aspect of the camp was the cadets’ opportunity to observe the ethos, professionalism, and high training standards exemplified by CIJWS personnel. This exposure not only enriched their understanding of counter-insurgency and jungle warfare training but also instilled in them the core values of dedication, teamwork, and service to the nation.
The camp had a profound impact on the young women, playing a pivotal role in empowering them by strengthening their confidence and nurturing essential leadership qualities. Through this initiative, the NCC aims to inspire and prepare future leaders from Mizoram, equipping them with the skills and values necessary for serving their country.
