Cmde Sharma is a seasoned Communications and Electronic Warfare (EW) specialist with extensive operational and instructional experience derived from a commendable naval career. His educational background includes distinguished institutions such as the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, and the Naval War College, which have equipped him with the knowledge and skills essential for his new role.

Throughout his career, Cmde Sharma has held multiple pivotal command and staff positions, demonstrating his leadership capabilities. His notable appointments include serving as the Commanding Officer of INS Konkan and INS Kattabomman, as well as overseeing operations at the Signal School.
