Lieutenant General Harsh Chhibber, AVSM, VSM, PhD, the Director General Information Systems (DGIS) of the Indian Army, recently addressed the participants of the Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC-22) at the College of Defence Management (CDM) in Hyderabad. His address concentrated on the pivotal role of emerging technologies in shaping future military operations.
During his speech, Lt Gen Chhibber stressed the critical need for a robust information support systems architecture as well as enhanced networking and data-centric practices at every level of the military hierarchy.
