Palladyne AI has announced the successful acquisition of contracts aimed at researching, developing, and testing its innovative Gremlin-X mini-bomber drone and SwarmOS software specifically designed for coordinating autonomy in military operations. As part of this initiative, Palladyne AI plans to conduct live demonstrations of both the Gremlin-X drone and the SwarmOS software during a series of exercises orchestrated by the Army’s 4th Infantry Division (4ID) in locations including Colorado and California. These trials are set to explore key functionalities that support essential army operations, particularly in the realms of scouting and target engagement.
The integration of these advanced solutions is expected to align with existing army technologies, notably the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK), which serves as a command-and-control platform.
