Thales and Defense Conseil International (DCI) have forged a strategic partnership that aims to enhance France’s military training and operational preparation programs by integrating advanced digital command tools. This collaboration is set to embed Thales’ HexaForce multi-domain command solution directly into DCI’s newly launched Operational Command Academy, a capability platform designed to bolster training, exercises, and experimentation for French and allied forces.
The HexaForce solution, developed by Thales, is designed to facilitate command operations across multiple domains, including land, air, sea, cyber, and space. Its primary purpose is to aid decision-making in complex environments where military forces need to operate in concert across diverse networks and rapidly changing operational contexts.
This partnership aligns with Thales’ ongoing commitment to modernizing training techniques and methodologies. Recently, the company expanded its training modernization portfolio, introducing several innovative solutions to enhance military preparedness. In June, Thales unveiled the Gladiator Training Data Analytics platform, which utilizes artificial intelligence to streamline and analyze data from various sources, such as soldiers, vehicles, drones, and other training systems, thereby providing a consolidated operational view. This tool aims to improve both live exercise assessments and post-training evaluations.
Furthermore, the company has been proactive in its international partnerships to fortify military education and training in critical areas. In February, Thales collaborated with Universitas Pertahanan RI in Indonesia to enhance cybersecurity education, concentrating on cyber threat intelligence and capabilities related to detection and investigation.
Earlier in December, Thales introduced a cutting-edge drone training capability, integrated into live exercises to prepare soldiers for interactions with both friendly and adversarial drone behaviors, thereby enhancing overall situational awareness and readiness.
Through these initiatives, Thales is not only enhancing France’s military training infrastructure but also contributing to the broader goal of operational effectiveness and strategic collaboration among allied forces. The integration of advanced digital tools like HexaForce into military training underscores the evolving nature of modern warfare, where technology plays an increasingly pivotal role in ensuring military readiness and interoperability.
