Air Chief Marshal Ashutosh Dixit spent Diwali with Indian Air Force personnel at a forward Air Force station on November 8, 2026, joining Air Warriors, Agniveervayu personnel and their families during the festival.
Accompanied by Mrs Archana Dixit, the Chief of the Air Staff met personnel and their loved ones at the station. He exchanged greetings, shared sweets and conveyed his wishes to all ranks and their families.
During the visit, Air Chief Marshal Dixit acknowledged the dedication of personnel carrying out operational duties during national festivals. Those serving at forward locations remain vigilant to help safeguard India’s airspace, often spending such occasions away from their families.
Agniveervayu personnel also took part in the celebrations alongside experienced Air Warriors. Their participation reflected the shared sense of duty, discipline and unity highlighted at the gathering.

For personnel posted away from home, Diwali can coincide with continued service responsibilities while families across the country celebrate. The occasion at the station drew attention to the sacrifices involved in maintaining national security during the festive period.
The Indian Air Force said the celebrations reflected values of service, brotherhood and commitment among the nation’s defenders. The occasion also highlighted the camaraderie among Air Warriors and the demands of duty at forward locations.

Air Chief Marshal Ashutosh Dixit assumed charge as the 29th Chief of the Air Staff on October 31, 2026. He has emphasised operational preparedness, professional excellence and the contribution of personnel to strengthening the Indian Air Force’s combat effectiveness.
