A formal handing-over ceremony marked the official assumption of duties by Air Commodore Kamal Chadha as the Deputy Director General (DDG) of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate Karnataka and Goa. The event took place at the Directorate Headquarters in Bengaluru on May 18, 2026.

Before this pivotal role, Air Commodore Chadha served as the Air Officer Commanding at the Air Force Component of the Headquarters Andaman and Nicobar Command in Port Blair. His extensive operational and leadership experience in the Indian Air Force positions him as a key asset to the NCC Directorate.

In his inaugural remarks following the transition, Air Commodore Chadha expressed his admiration for the high performance consistently demonstrated by the NCC Directorate Karnataka and Goa. He noted the significant contribution the Directorate has made to youth development and nation-building through its various initiatives.

The Directorate has recently garnered recognition for its achievements at national-level competitions, including noteworthy participation in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) and multiple All India Centrally Organised Camps. These successes highlight the commitment and excellence of the cadets and staff involved.
