Air Marshal S. Sivakumar, currently serving as the Air Officer-in-Charge Administration and Commodore Commandant of the Air Force Administrative College (AFAC), recently conducted a two-day visit to the AFAC from July 30 to 31, 2026. The primary objective of this visit was to evaluate the college’s training standards, infrastructure, and various initiatives geared toward enhancing professional excellence and improving the quality of life for all personnel.
Upon arrival, Air Marshal Sivakumar was welcomed by Air Commodore Shivanand, the Commandant of AFAC. The visit commenced with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, which set a formal tone for the proceedings. Following this, the Air Marshal embarked on a comprehensive tour of the college. He examined various faculties, training establishments, and functional sections, assessing the initiatives put in place to modernize training programs and enhance the college’s infrastructure.
During the review, Air Marshal Sivakumar was briefed on ongoing efforts to continuously elevate the quality of training through updated curricula and modern teaching methodologies. These initiatives are designed to prepare personnel for the evolving demands of the Indian Air Force. Additionally, he took stock of measures aimed at improving the quality of life and overall welfare for officers, air warriors, and trainees at the college.
Impressed with the institution’s achievements, Air Marshal Sivakumar praised AFAC for its effective role in training administrative officers and personnel.
