On June 22, 2026, a heartfelt farewell ceremony was held for the 3rd Batch (2025–26) of students from the Rifleman Bevela Lushai AC Centre of Excellence at Zokhawsang, Aizawl. This event marked the culmination of an academic session dedicated to developing the potential of talented youth from across Mizoram.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements and aspirations of the outgoing batch, which included 30 students—20 girls and 10 boys—who hailed from various districts in the state, such as Aizawl, Serchhip, Lunglei, Hnahthial, Khawzawl, Champhai, Kolasib, Mamit, and Lawngtlai.
Founded to offer quality academic guidance and mentorship, the Centre of Excellence has rapidly become a significant platform for empowering aspiring students, enabling them to pursue higher education and professional careers. Among the graduating students, 24 participated in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) with hopes of embarking on medical professions, while six students engaged in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aiming for careers in engineering and technology.
During the ceremony, officials from the Assam Rifles praised the students for their hard work and achievements. They urged the graduates to remain committed to their ambitions and to continuously strive for excellence in their endeavors.
The event underscored the Assam Rifles’ dedication to educational empowerment and youth development in the North-East region of India. Through initiatives like the Rifleman Bevela Lushai Centre of Excellence, the Assam Rifles actively support talented students with academic assistance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
