In a remarkable achievement for Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Balbir Singh, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at Vallabh Government College, Mandi, has been commissioned as a Lieutenant in the National Cadet Corps (NCC). This noteworthy accomplishment follows his successful completion of rigorous training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Nagpur, highlighting both his personal dedication and the prestige of his institution.
To celebrate this milestone, a special felicitation ceremony was held at the college, attended by Principal Sanjeev Kumar and NCC officers, including Flying Officer Dr. Chaman Lal Kranti Singh. Prior to his commissioning, he served as the Caretaker Officer of the NCC Army Wing at the college, further establishing his leadership capabilities. During the felicitation ceremony, a ceremonial baton was presented to him, symbolizing the key tenets of leadership, discipline, and responsibility that the role of a Lieutenant entails.
