The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has recently welcomed 22 women personnel into the Quick Reaction Team (QRT) wing dedicated to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The newly inducted commandos have been strategically deployed at metro stations that experience a high volume of female passengers, including prominent locations such as Rajiv Chowk, Chandni Chowk, Kashmere Gate, Central Secretariat, Sarojini Nagar, and Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus. On April 15, 2007, the CISF took over security responsibilities for the Delhi Metro from the Delhi Police.
