In a significant leadership transition, Lieutenant General Gambhir Singh, AVSM, YSM, has officially taken over as the Chief of Staff (COS) at Headquarters Eastern Command, succeeding Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra, AVSM, SM. The formal handing-over ceremony marked a new chapter for the Eastern Command as General Singh steps into his new role.

Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Eastern Command, congratulated Lt Gen Gambhir Singh on his new appointment.
