Lieutenant General Harpal Singh, the Director General of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), recently conducted a pivotal visit to the Area of Responsibility for Project Sampark to assess critical infrastructure works vital for national defense and regional development.
During his visit, Lt Gen Singh closely monitored the progress of several strategic construction projects, including the Katra Helipad and the Sungal Tunnel. His inspection aimed to evaluate the operational readiness of these projects, recognizing their importance in both military and civilian contexts.
In his remarks, Lt Gen Singh commended BRO personnel for their unwavering dedication and professionalism. The visit also included a meeting with Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. They discussed strategies for enhancing road infrastructure in the region, emphasizing the importance of strengthening connectivity for both strategic military needs and civilian accessibility.
