Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander of the Southern Command, recently conducted a visit to the Mechanised Infantry Centre & School (MIC&S) located in Ahilyanagar. The primary aim of this visit was to assess the institution’s modern training initiatives and its cutting-edge infrastructure, which are pivotal for enhancing combat readiness within the mechanized infantry.
During his inspection, the Army Commander explored several key training facilities, notably the newly established Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Laboratory and the Combat Simulation Zone. These advanced facilities are designed to provide immersive, technology-driven training experiences for personnel, equipping them with the necessary skills to operate effectively in modern combat scenarios.
Lt Gen Pushkar received detailed briefings about the institution’s integration of sophisticated training methodologies and simulation technologies.
