The Pentagon has granted Empower AI a contract to provide ongoing enterprise-level information technology services for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) under the J6 Service Delivery program. This initiative is essential for ensuring interoperability among global users by offering dedicated onsite and remote support for networks and devices used by executives, cabinet members, and other VIPs.
The scope of Empower’s responsibilities encompasses various tasks, including autonomy applications, quality management, and the establishment of compliant processes. These efforts aim to enhance operational tasks while minimizing disruptions, adhering to fast-track resolution timelines, and reducing overall operational overhead.
The contract’s duration extends up to five years, with a potential value of $255.4 million contingent on the exercise of all options. Empower AI initially secured the J6 contract in September 2019, which was valued at $269.9 million at that time.
Carla Harter, Senior Vice President of Operations at Empower AI, emphasized the company’s commitment to improving performance: “Our teams have developed deep institutional knowledge of the DISA J6 environment, and we understand that consistent performance is just the baseline. The mission demands that we keep getting better.”
Harter also indicated that the firm plans to leverage its established groundwork to implement intelligent automation in key areas, enhancing efficiency and improving response times. This strategy aims to provide DISA J6 with measurable gains in performance within the framework of existing operations.
