Rear Admiral Maddula comes equipped with a robust background marked by extensive operational, command, and staff experience throughout his decades-long naval career. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, he has further honed his skills with professional military education at institutions such as the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College in Virginia and the Indian Naval War College in Goa.
His career features a range of key positions, commanding various naval vessels including INS Nipat, INS Ganga, INS Godavari, and the stealth frigate INS Trikand.
