Squadron Leader Abhinav Nautiyal, a serving officer in the Indian Air Force (IAF), has garnered attention for his distinguished service during Operation Sindoor in 2025. Commissioned into the IAF on December 14, 2013, through the 10 SSC (M) FP Course in the Flying (Pilot) branch, Nautiyal has steadily progressed through the ranks. He was promoted to Flight Lieutenant on March 14, 2016, and later to Squadron Leader on December 14, 2019. Throughout his tenure, he has been associated with No. 48 Squadron, a frontline unit renowned for its operational readiness.
During Operation Sindoor in 2025, Squadron Leader Nautiyal played a pivotal role in responding to a significant terrorist incident. Although not a gallantry medal, the CDS Commendation is a prestigious acknowledgment of his distinguished service and professional excellence.
