74th Independence Day

  • India Celebrates 74th Independence today.
  •  Prime Minister hoisted the National Flag from the Red Fort.
  • The Flag Hurling was followed by the annual speech of Prime Minister as his address to the nation.

National Digital Health Mission

  • Independence Day Speech: National Digital Health Mission is “completely technology-based” initiative that will revolutionise the health sector
  • Every Indian would get an ID card that would contain all relevant information about his/her medical conditions.
  • This card could be used to access health services and medicines.
  • The NDHM, which comes under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), is expected to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of health services in the country, the government has said.
  • Under the scheme each patient will be given an ID card on which confidential medical data, such as prescriptions, diagnostic reports and discharge summaries, will be stored.

Revolution In Infrastructure

  • Govt. identifies 7,000 projects from different sectors to bring new revolution in infrastructure.
  • He said, the country must not only go ahead with the mantra of Make in India but Make for World as well.
  • National Infrastructure Pipeline Project will enable this, and the country is moving towards spending more than Rs. 100 lakh crore on this.
  • The National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) is a group of social and economic infrastructure projects in India over a period of five years with a sanctioned amount of ₹102 lakh crore.

Integrated Infrastructure

  • Infrastructure will not be created in silos anymore.
  • All infrastructure must be comprehensive, integrated and linked to each other.
  • Multi-modal connectivity infrastructure is the way forward.

Agricultural Sector Boost

  • There was a time we imported grains; but today our farmers are producing enough not just for India but also for those in need across the world.
  • Our farm sector needs to evolve in line with requirements of world.
  • Value addition is required for our farm sector: PM

National Education Policy

  • The Prime Minister said education has a great importance in building self-reliant India. Keeping this in mind, a new National Education Policy was brought. 
  • He said Digital India too has a great role to play in making the nation self-reliant.

Project Lion & Project Dolphins

  • The project will be aimed at saving the lions and on increasing their population and maintaining their wellbeing.
  • The Project Dolphins will be focused on Dolphins found both in sea and the river waters.

Covid-19 Vaccine

  • Detailed plans are in place for large scale production of corona vaccine and making it available to every Indian.
  • 3 vaccines are under testing in India and will be launched as soon as scientists give a go-ahead: PM

  • India has the capability of retreating any enemy with full force and befitting reply in their own way.
