6th Batch of Agniveers Passes Out from Parachute Regiment Training Centre

A moment of significant pride and ceremony unfolded at the Parachute Regiment Training Centre (PRTC) in Bengaluru, where the 6th batch of Agniveers celebrated the completion of their rigorous training with a grand Passing Out Parade. This event not only marked the end of months of intense physical, tactical, and mental conditioning but also represented the transformation of young recruits into disciplined soldiers prepared to serve in one of the Indian Army’s most elite formations—the Parachute Regiment.

The ceremony, conducted with full military decorum, underscored the Agniveers’ readiness to uphold the values of honour, courage, and sacrifice. Having undergone exhaustive training, these brave individuals are set to be inducted into various Special Forces battalions and other units within the Parachute Regiment. Here, they will further enhance their skills in crucial operations such as airborne missions, counter-terrorism, and special warfare.

The parade was attended by senior officers from the Regiment, proud instructors, and the families of the Agniveers, all of whom watched with beaming pride as the recruits displayed their discipline and confidence while marching past the dais. The Reviewing Officer praised the Agniveers for their unwavering dedication, resilience, and determination throughout their training journey, reminding them to carry forward the storied traditions of the Parachute Regiment, encapsulated in their motto, “Men Apart, Every Man an Emperor.”

Situated in Bengaluru, Karnataka, the Parachute Regiment Training Centre serves as the foundational hub for India’s airborne and Special Forces soldiers. PRTC is tasked with delivering both basic and advanced military training to recruits, equipping them to tackle some of the most demanding environments and high-risk missions across the nation.

The training regimen at PRTC is renowned as a true test of endurance, courage, and willpower. It encompasses a variety of rigorous activities, including airborne induction, weapon handling, endurance marches, physical conditioning, unarmed combat, and fieldcraft. Only those who exemplify exceptional grit and determination are able to successfully complete the course. The ethos of PRTC is deeply rooted in fostering mental toughness, teamwork, and an unwavering sense of duty toward the nation.

The Parachute Regiment itself is the pinnacle of India’s military capabilities, comprising both airborne and Special Forces units, including the legendary Para (Special Forces) battalions. These units are globally recognized for their professionalism, operational excellence, and unmatched courage in various combat scenarios. From executing high-altitude warfare operations in the Himalayas to conducting counter-terror operations in challenging terrains, the Paratroopers have consistently demonstrated their valor and expertise.

As the 6th batch of Agniveers steps into their roles within this elite fraternity, they not only embrace the honor of donning the maroon beret but also inherit a legacy defined by valor, precision, and a commitment to selfless service to the nation.
