In a significant achievement for the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) and Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore (CHAFB), two officers have earned top honors in the recent Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) MD/MS University examinations. Dr. Greeshma Sasmal achieved the remarkable distinction of securing the 1st rank (Gold Medal) in Pathology, while Major Anand Sagar earned the 2nd rank in Ophthalmology, showcasing their exceptional dedication and expertise in their respective fields.
Additionally, Dr. Greeshma Sasmal’s academic prowess was further acknowledged when she was awarded the AOC-in-C Rolling Trophy for Best PG Thesis of the Year at CHAFB. This accolade underscores her commitment to research and her contribution to advancing medical science through thorough and impactful academic work.
The accomplishments of Dr. Sasmal and Major Sagar were celebrated during a Valedictory Function at CHAFB, where they were felicitated by esteemed dignitaries, including Air Vice Marshal Renuka Kunte, the Principal Medical Officer of the Training Command of the Indian Air Force, and Air Vice Marshal Kaushik Chatterjee, the Commandant of CHAFB.
