DZYNE Technologies has announced the launch of the Dronebuster 4-EU, a specialized variant of its popular handheld counter-drone system. This release follows a significant multi-million-dollar contract awarded to the company for its baseline Dronebuster model by an undisclosed allied customer.
The Dronebuster 4-EU has been specifically developed for European users, addressing local requirements for adaptable counter-drone operations. It operates effectively within European short-range device frequency bands and is engineered to jam drones across a variety of EU-specific frequencies. An intriguing feature of this new model is the optional Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) attack mode, which can disrupt satellite-controlled drones utilizing GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, or BeiDou signals.
This innovative system is versatile and can be utilized across several operational environments. It is designed to protect critical infrastructure such as power plants and transportation hubs, as well as secure facilities, including government sites and military installations. Furthermore, the Dronebuster 4-EU plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of airports by preventing drone interference with aircraft operations. It also enhances maritime security for both commercial and naval vessels while bolstering border surveillance efforts aimed at detecting and mitigating unauthorized drone activity.
The Dronebuster 4-EU is available in multiple configurations—fixed-site, mobile, and handheld—allowing for flexible deployment options. Users can establish standalone or networked layered defenses against potential threats, enhancing operational readiness. When coupled with DZYNE’s wearable Detect, Track, Identify, and Mitigate system, a single operator has the capability to detect drones from distances of up to 7 kilometers (approximately 4.3 miles) and engage targets at over 1.5 kilometers (around 0.9 miles).
DZYNE’s commitment to counter-drone technology is evidenced by its extensive deployment and field-testing of these systems. Over 2,200 Dronebuster units have been sold worldwide, with more than 1,000 currently operational within the US Armed Forces. The company’s robust portfolio, which includes systems such as Sawtooth, ASP, and Dronebuster-FS, is in use across more than 50 countries, solidifying its position as a leader in the counter-drone market.
