🔹 Eligibility Criteria
📌 Nationality
A candidate must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or certain East African countries with the intent of permanent settlement in India (with a certificate of eligibility).
Note: Gorkha candidates from Nepal do not require a certificate of eligibility.
📌 Marital Status
- Only unmarried male candidates can apply.
- Candidates must remain unmarried during the training period.
📌 Age Limit
- Born between 02 July 2006 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- Minimum age: 16½ years; Maximum age: 19½ years at the time of course commencement.
📌 Educational Qualification
- Must have passed 10+2 (PCM stream) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board.
- Must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2025.
📌 Medical & Legal Conditions
- Should meet the medical standards as specified on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
- Should not be debarred from UPSC exams or involved in any criminal case.

📍 Duration: 4 Years
- Phase I: 3 years of basic military and engineering training at any one of the following Cadet Training Wings (CTW):
- CTW, CME Pune – Civil & Mechanical Engineering
- CTW, MCTE Mhow – Telecom & IT Engineering (Dual Degree)
- CTW, MCEME Secunderabad – Electrical & Mechanical Engineering
- Phase II: 1 year of military training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
🎓 Degree Awarded
- A B.Tech. degree upon successful completion of training.
- No ante-date seniority for the degree.
💰 Cost of Training
- Approx. ₹13,940/- per week (as of 2021), borne by the State but recovered from candidates who withdraw for personal reasons.

🔹 Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting of Applications: Based on JEE (Main) 2025 Common Rank List (CRL).
- SSB Interview:
- Conducted at one of the centres: Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar.
- 5-day interview process including psychological tests, group tasks, and interviews.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by SSB will undergo a full medical test.
- Merit List & Joining:
- Merit will be prepared based on SSB performance.
- Medically fit candidates will receive a joining letter as per available vacancies.
