NCC Directorate of AP&T Welcomes New Deputy Director General, Air Commodore Narsingh Sailani

In a significant ceremony on May 13, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP&T) officially welcomed its new Deputy Director General, Air Commodore Narsingh Sailani. A distinguished officer of the Indian Air Force, Sailani assumes this vital role with the aim of enhancing the directorate’s influence on youth training, leadership development, and national service initiatives.

The transition was marked by a ceremonial handshake between Sailani and an Army officer, symbolizing the seamless handover of responsibilities. Dressed in his Air Force uniform adorned with service medals and insignia, Sailani addressed the NCC personnel from his new office, articulating his vision focused on fostering discipline, patriotism, and leadership qualities among cadets.

A group photograph taken outside the NCC Directorate building, adorned with the AP&T signage and the Indian national flag, captured Sailani alongside senior officers and staff. This visual representation displayed a collective sense of unity and shared purpose, reinforcing the NCC’s longstanding commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and future leaders.

The NCC Directorate AP&T was established following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014 and now oversees cadet units across both states. Key cities under its jurisdiction include Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Nizamabad, and Warangal in Telangana, as well as Guntur, Kakinada, Kurnool, Tirupati, and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The directorate has a notable history, having received the Best Directorate Award at the Republic Day Camp in both 2008 and 2021.

Before this new assignment, Sailani served in a strategic operational capacity at the Southern Air Command. Recognized for his dedication to fitness, leadership, and youth empowerment, he is expected to infuse the NCC’s initiatives with fresh energy and direction. His leadership is anticipated to further solidify the directorate’s role in cultivating a disciplined, service-oriented, and nationally conscious youth community.
