The Catalyst Accelerator has announced the selection of six innovative small businesses that are pioneering dual-use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies aimed at enhancing the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities of the U.S. Space Force.
This initiative is backed by funding from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicles Directorate, which is dedicated to supporting nontraditional technology companies. Through the Catalyst Accelerator, these businesses will gain access to critical government resources, expert mentorship, and business development assistance to help scale their operations and technologies.
The recently chosen companies will become part of the Accelerator’s 16th cohort, which specifically concentrates on advancing AI and ML orchestration for the U.S. Space Force’s Delta 7 unit. This targeted focus reflects the growing demand for innovative solutions that can integrate advanced technologies into military applications, particularly in space operations.
As the military increasingly looks to leverage AI and ML for strategic advantages, these selected firms are positioned to play a significant role in developing next-generation ISR capabilities that could transform the way the U.S. Space Force conducts its missions. This collaboration underscores a broader commitment to fostering a tech-savvy defense ecosystem, harnessing cutting-edge technologies to ensure national security.
