Ondas Holdings has unveiled plans to acquire Roboteam, an Israeli company known for developing rugged and multi-mission unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), in an $80-million transaction. This acquisition aims to enhance the Massachusetts-based company’s offerings by integrating aerial and ground robotics, along with anti-drone technologies and intelligence solutions, under its autonomous systems segment.
Roboteam specializes in UGVs designed for various critical applications, including bomb disposal, intelligence collection, and operations in hazardous environments. The weights of these units range from 1.5 to over 1,000 kilograms (3.3 to 2,204 pounds), showcasing versatility in their deployments. The firm has established a significant presence in the defense sector, with its platforms operational in over 30 countries, including high-profile clients such as the US and Israel.
Apart from ground drones, Roboteam provides the Roboteam HUB, a command and control suite that integrates multiple robotic assets into a unified operational framework, enabling users to manage their robotic fleets effectively.
Following the acquisition, Ondas anticipates an increase in revenue, projecting an additional $3 to $4 million by the fourth quarter of 2025, with expectations of at least $30 million in revenue for the following year. This boost is expected to be supported by recent developments in Roboteam’s supply chain, where the Israeli firm has secured over $20 million in orders from a current military client, with deliveries slated to occur throughout fiscal 2026.
Eric Brock, CEO and Chairman of Ondas Holdings, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition, stating that integrating Roboteam’s capabilities will enhance mission safety, interoperability, and operational effectiveness for customers across the globe. He further articulated that this move positions Ondas to evolve into a leader in systems-of-systems and multi-domain autonomy. The synergy between Roboteam’s advanced ground robotics and Ondas’ autonomous aerial systems is expected to foster a comprehensive technology ecosystem that meets a wide array of defense and public safety mission requirements.
