In a grand ceremony showcasing commitment and soldierly spirit, 695 Agniveers from the Madras Regimental Centre (MRC) were officially attested into the Indian Army on December 3, 2025. The occasion featured an impressive Passing Out Parade that highlighted the culmination of rigorous training, marking the transformation of these young recruits into ready soldiers prepared to serve the nation.
The parade was characterized by immaculate turnout, precision drill, and an unwavering resolve as the new Agniveers marched past the saluting dais. This event not only celebrated their individual accomplishments but also underscored the rich traditions and high standards upheld by the historic Madras Regiment.
Lieutenant General Girish Kalia, AVSM, VSM, Director General of the Territorial Army, took on the role of reviewing officer for the parade. In his address, he congratulated the newly attested soldiers for their successful completion of training and urged them to embody the esteemed motto of their regiment, “Swadharme Nidhanam Shreyah.” He emphasized the importance of pride, dedication, and duty in every mission they undertake.
The ceremony was attended by family members and veterans, adding an emotional touch to the occasion. The presence of loved ones further highlighted the significance of this milestone in the lives of these young soldiers. As they take their first steps into a life of service, the Agniveers are now poised to protect the nation’s sovereignty with honour and determination.
