Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has announced the operational clearance of a new ground robot, the Zmiy Droid 12.7 NRK, which is poised to enhance military capabilities while minimizing soldier exposure in hazardous environments.
This domestically developed robot is specifically designed for strike and reconnaissance missions. One of its prominent features is its 12.7mm machine gun, enabling it to effectively engage in combat situations that may be too dangerous for ground troops. The tactical advantage provided by the Zmiy Droid allows for targeted operations without putting human lives at risk.
The Zmiy Droid 12.7 NRK boasts a combat-tested design that enables it to navigate a variety of challenging terrains. This adaptability makes it suitable for operations not only on off-road tracks, but also through sandy and snowy landscapes, as well as shallow bodies of water.
