Ukrainian armored vehicle manufacturer UkrArmoTech has made significant strides in supporting Ukraine’s Defense Forces by delivering a total of 402 newly-built armored vehicles under various contracts, as reported by UNITED24 Media. This delivery includes a diverse range of military vehicles tailored to meet the operational needs of the armed forces.
Among the shipment are 16 UAT-TISA light armored pickups, 24 UAT-FOX armored vehicles, 30 GYURZA-02 new-generation armored combat vehicles, and a substantial 333 units of the GYURZA-01 armored combat vehicle. This latest batch of deliveries comes on the heels of Kyiv’s certification of the GYURZA-02 4×4 vehicle for operational use last year, along with the commencement of the TISA platform’s field deployment.
UkrArmoTech has reported an impressive production capability, with current lines able to manufacture up to 2,000 standard vehicles on an annual basis, coupled with the potential to produce approximately 600 upgraded or newly developed variants each year.
The UAT-TISA vehicle underscores the company’s focus on building reliable assets for the defense sector. Constructed on a reinforced Toyota Land Cruiser LC79 chassis, the UAT-TISA is designed for the transport of personnel, ammunition, and supplies while offering ballistic protection and mine resistance capable of withstanding blasts of up to 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) of explosives.
The UAT-FOX model, built on the Mitsubishi L200 platform, merges a civilian aesthetic with military-grade armor. This vehicle is crafted for both mobility and low-profile operations, all while maintaining its ability to resist small-arms fire and various explosive threats.
The GYURZA-01, one of the primary platforms, is a robust 12-ton 4×4 armored combat vehicle with a distinctive double V-shaped hull. It offers protectiveness against ballistic attacks and mine blasts of up to 6 kilograms (13 pounds), with additional capabilities for electronic warfare systems, night vision technology, and heavy machine-gun mounts.
The heavier GYURZA-02 variant is specifically engineered for multiple roles, including troop transport, fire support, reconnaissance, and patrol duties. Weighing in at 16 tons, it can accommodate up to 11 personnel and is designed to withstand more significant mine threats, rated for up to 8 kilograms (17.6 pounds) of explosives.
