Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of the Naval Staff, along with Mrs. Shashi Tripathi, the President of the Navy Wives Welfare Association, engaged with retired naval officers and their spouses during the Annual Reunion Samman 2026, held at NOM Varuna on February 8, 2026. This gathering served as a platform for veterans to reconnect and engage with current naval leadership, reinforcing the strong bonds of camaraderie within the naval community.
During his address, Admiral Tripathi provided attendees with updates on recent advancements and ongoing initiatives within the Indian Navy. He emphasized the invaluable contributions that veterans have made to both the Navy and the nation. The interaction highlighted the Navyโs commitment to nurturing relationships with its veteran community, ensuring that their legacy continues to be honored.
To facilitate a smooth experience for attendees, multiple help desks were established throughout the event. These desks were dedicated to providing assistance with various issues, including service records, pensions, the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), the Cantonment Stores Department (CSD), and banking. This initiative aimed to ensure that veterans received timely support and that any grievances were addressed promptly.
One of the key moments of the reunion was the unveiling of the Annual Navy Foundation Magazine, โQuarterdeck 2025.โ Admiral Tripathi presented this publication, marking a significant step in the ongoing effort to document and celebrate the rich heritage and professional legacy of the Indian Navy.
