Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas, a distinguished officer of the Indian Air Force, recently visited Air Force Station Tambaram on February 3 and 4, 2026. Accompanied by Mrs. Sunita Shrinivas, the President of the Air Force Families Welfare Association (Regional), the visit was marked by a ceremonial Guard of Honour, reflecting the respect and recognition due to his rank and contributions.
Throughout his visit, Air Marshal Shrinivas conducted an extensive review of the station’s activities spanning flying operations, maintenance protocols, training exercises, and administrative functions. A highlight of the visit was his engagement in a flying sortie on the Pilatus PC-7 aircraft. This hands-on experience allowed him to witness firsthand the current training operations and the capabilities being instilled in the next generation of pilots.
In addition to flying, the Air Marshal took the time to engage with the Directing Staff and trainees of the Flying Instructors’ School. During these discussions, he focused on critical aspects such as training methodologies, instructional standards, and the professional development of both current and future instructors. His insights reiterated the Indian Air Force’s commitment to excellence in training.
Addressing the personnel at the station, Air Marshal Shrinivas emphasized the vital role that training plays in cultivating an operationally capable and future-ready Air Force.
