Lieutenant General Harpal Singh, the Director General of Border Roads (DGBR), recently conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing infrastructure initiatives under Project Udayak in Arunachal Pradesh’s forward areas. This project is critical for enhancing border connectivity, which holds strategic significance for the region.
During his visit, the DGBR evaluated the advancement of several key road and infrastructure projects designed to improve mobility and operational logistics in some of the most challenging high-altitude and remote terrains. He received detailed briefs on the engineering efforts currently underway, including timelines and the specific measures being implemented to navigate the difficulties posed by the region’s geographical and climatic conditions.
Lt Gen Harpal Singh praised the personnel of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) for their determination, dedication, and professionalism, particularly in executing complex projects under demanding circumstances. He acknowledged the invaluable role their work plays in fortifying national security through enhanced border infrastructure.
