Iran Launches Multiple Missiles at Israel, Leaving Several Injured in Tel Aviv Area

Israeli emergency services reported that they treated five individuals for injuries on Saturday following a significant missile attack from Iran, which involved the launch of several rounds of missiles targeting Israel. The Israeli military indicated that there were eight distinct waves of missile launches since midnight.

In addition to the Iranian missiles, military sources confirmed the detection of a missile fired from Yemen, marking the fifth such incident from that location directed toward Israel.

Among the injured was a 45-year-old man who sustained minor injuries from glass shrapnel in Bnei Brak, a central city in Israel. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for further treatment. As rescue teams responded to the unfolding situation, they reported three more casualties, including two individuals in their twenties affected by glass fragments and one person injured by an explosion. Furthermore, a 52-year-old man also suffered light injuries due to the blast wave and was taken to a hospital in Ramat Gan, another central city.

In Ramat Gan, the aftermath of the attack was visible, with images showing the top floor of a residential building completely destroyed, exposing the interior and leaving debris scattered, including a crushed bookcase and an exercise bike. Numerous impact marks were also noted on the surrounding walls. Local resident Joy Frankel described the scene, attributing the destruction to shrapnel from the missiles.

Several media outlets, including The Times of Israel, reported that a cluster munition missile fired from Iran struck close to the Kirya military base in Tel Aviv, near the defense ministry. Police reported missile debris landing in East Jerusalem; however, this incident did not result in any casualties.

Israeli military forces were busy working to intercept the missiles launched from Iran, consistently announcing incoming projectiles during the attacks. In a separate development, a rocket was launched from Lebanon, but a malfunction in the warning system hindered its detection. This rocket landed in an open area and fortunately did not result in any injuries.

Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, has been actively firing rockets toward northern Israel since joining the conflict on March 2. Since February 28, ongoing joint military operations between the United States and Israel targeted Iran, leading to retaliatory missile attacks from the Islamic Republic aimed at Israel and several neighboring countries in the region.
