Lieutenant Simran Singh Rathi Named Best Student at Officers’ Transport Management Course in Bengaluru

Bengaluru recently witnessed the successful conclusion of the Officers’ Transport Management Course, a professional military training program aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of military officers from various countries. Among the participants, Lieutenant Simran Singh Rathi from the Indian Army stood out as the Best Student of the course, showcasing excellence in his studies.

The course, held at the Army Service Corps Centre and College, brought together officers from the Indian Army alongside representatives from friendly nations such as Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Lesotho, and Nepal. This blend of participants underscores a growing commitment to international military cooperation and knowledge sharing.

Focusing on transport management and the operational maintenance of Mechanical Transport (MT) fleets, the curriculum was designed to impart essential skills to officers that would be applicable in effectively managing and training personnel in their respective units. The course included sessions on the latest trends and technologies emerging in the transport sector, ensuring that officers are equipped to address modern challenges.

Lieutenant General J. K. Gera, Commandant of the ASC Centre and College, delivered the valedictory address, emphasizing the importance of staying updated with rapid advancements in automotive technology. He encouraged participants to leverage the knowledge and experiences acquired during the course to enhance training for their subordinates and maintain their MT fleets in peak operational condition.

The inclusion of international officers enriched the program, fostering an exchange of professional insights and an understanding of diverse transport management practices. In addition to Lieutenant Rathi’s commendation, Captain Dipesh Budhathoki from the Nepal Army was recognized as the Best Foreign Officer. His exemplary performance and active engagement throughout the training were celebrated, highlighting the importance of cross-border military education.
