At the time of the incident, he was riding to Kosihan village, also under Chandi police station, to pick up his father-in-law, Mahendra Singh, who is undergoing dialysis for kidney disease. Police said the vehicle involved was moving at high speed and appeared to be under uncontrolled driving before the driver fled from the spot.
