AFCAT 2 2015 Exam Date

AFCAT 2 2015 will be the second AFCAT (Air Force Common Entrance Test) conducted by Indian Air force and AFCAT 2 2015 Exam Date will be 30th August 2015. AFCAT is a common test conducted by Indian air force two times every year. Through this exam, candidates can apply for technical, flying and GDOC branch. AFCAT is a written exam which consists of GK, English, Reasoning and Math. It consists of total 100 questions and the duration for the exam is 2 hours.

Eligibility AFCAT 2 2015

Flying Branch

  • Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

Technical Branch

  • Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.
  • Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies.

Ground Duty Branches

  • Administration and Logistics: Graduate Degree with at least 60% marks or a Post Graduate Degree / equivalent Diploma with at least of 50% marks aggregated in any discipline of all papers put together.
  • Accounts: Graduate Degree in Commerce (B Com) with a minimum of 60% marks or Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M Com) / CA / ICWA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
  • Education: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

AFCAT 2 2015 Exam Pattern:

The Air Force Common Admission Test will consist of 100 questions and each question will be of three marks. So total marks for all questions will be 300. As far as negative marking is concerned, there is one-third negative marking in AFCAT 2015 exam. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted as penalty.

The AFCAT 2 2015 paper will consist of four sections:

  1. General Awareness
  2. Verbal Ability
  3. Numerical Ability
  4. Reasoning & Military Aptitude Test

There will be Multiply Choice Based Questions of 3 marks each. The candidates will be penalized in the form of deduction of 1 marks for every wrong answers attempted by them.
