Air Commodore Chandra Kumar Rasyara has officially taken command of Air Force Station Manauri, succeeding Air Commodore Angshuk Pal in a notable leadership transition at this vital Indian Air Force (IAF) logistics hub. Air Force Station Manauri, strategically located near Prayagraj, is recognized for its crucial role in logistics and maintenance support, contributing significantly to the operational readiness of the IAF, especially in central and adjacent sectors.
With a rich history dating back to the 1870s, the station has established itself as a premier supply chain depot. Its operations are integral to sustaining various IAF initiatives and missions, emphasizing the importance of effective logistics in modern military operations.
Air Commodore Rasyara joined the IAF’s logistics branch in December 1991, bringing with him more than 33 years of diverse experience. He holds a postgraduate diploma in financial management and a Master of Science in defense and strategic studies. Throughout his career, he has held various command and staff positions across operational units, Base Repair Depots, Air Headquarters, and several Command Headquarters. His tenure includes leading a supply chain echelon in the eastern sector, which has further solidified his stature as a seasoned logistics officer.
In a parallel development, Chandrakala Rasyara has assumed the role of President of the Air Force Families Welfare Association (Local), taking over from Roma Sinha Pal. Known for her passion for community welfare, Chandrakala Rasyara is anticipated to enhance welfare initiatives for air force personnel and their families, building on her predecessor’s legacy.
Air Commodore Rasyara, recognized for his intellectual depth and people-centric leadership, is also an enthusiastic reader and poet.
