Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti, serving as the Deputy Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, conducted a pivotal visit to the final assembly line of the Airbus C295 transport aircraft at Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in Vadodara. This visit marks an important milestone in India’s mission to enhance its indigenous aerospace capabilities.
During the visit, Air Marshal Bharti assessed the current progress being made on the first C-295 aircraft, which is under production in India as part of the government’s ambitious Make in India initiative. The aircraft is on track for its maiden flight, reflecting the dedication of TASL and Airbus toward advancing local manufacturing efforts.
The C-295 programme represents a significant partnership between Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Airbus, symbolizing a stride forward in establishing robust aerospace manufacturing capabilities within India.
