In a significant display of military coordination and operational readiness, Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command, addressed a Joint Press Conference at Madhavpur Beach, Porbandar, to announce the successful completion of the amphibious phase of the Tri-Service Exercise-25 (Exercise Trishul) on November 13, 2025.
The large-scale exercise, themed ‘JAI’—which stands for Jointness, Agility, Integration—featured the collaborative efforts of the Indian Armed Forces, Indian Coast Guard, and the Border Security Force (BSF), along with various national security and civil agencies. This multifaceted operation was designed to enhance the interoperability and effectiveness of diverse military units in a real-world scenario.
During the amphibious segment of the exercise, participants engaged in integrated operations that included maritime insertion, littoral maneuvers, air-sea coordination, and coastal security drills. Air Marshal Kapoor underscored the importance of these types of multi-agency exercises, stating that they are crucial for refining interoperability among the forces, enhancing real-time coordination, and boosting India’s overall capability to address emergent security challenges across multiple domains.
He praised the professionalism and seamless synergy exhibited by all forces involved in the exercise, emphasizing that Exercise Trishul-25 is a testament to India’s enhanced joint operational capabilities and its steadfast commitment to protecting the nation’s interests across the land-sea-air continuum.
This exercise is a clear indication of India’s strategic approach to modern defense challenges and its dedication to maintaining a robust and integrated military posture in the face of evolving security threats.
